Crispy Baked Cajun Fries – Easy Homemade French Fries

I’m known for ordering things in restaurants only if they come with a side of french fries. In my humble opinion, fries are the best side for burgers and sandwiches and they are delicious from fast food restaurants and sit-down restaurants alike.

This recipe is a slightly healthier, baked alternative to the classic deep fried french fry, but soaking the potatoes before cooking allows them to crisp up perfectly. I chose golden potatoes because they have a creamier interior when cooked, but you can use whatever you have. Russet potatoes are the most common for french fries. The seasoning blend is spicy, smoky, and a little sweet, making these fries a delicious side, but also a perfect stand-alone snack.

Most of this recipe is just waiting for the potatoes to soak and bake in the oven, so it’s an easy hands-off addition to anything else you’re making. Give it a shot and be sure to share with friends, because the best french fries are enjoyed with people you love.
